We Love Local

Colin passionately champions local producers and has established strong connections with passionate nearby suppliers. Our succulent wild venison is meticulously sourced from The Hinton Admiral Estate, ensuring sustainability at its core. Premium meats are sourced directly from exceptional local farms, and our seafood delights arrive fresh from the skilled fishermen of Mudeford Quay.

We take great pride in presenting a superb array of locally crafted beverages. We serve exceptional ales from Drop the Anchor Brewery and Pothecary Gin, handcrafted with passion. Our artisan cider, Dickies Dribble, is a gem from Harrow Wood Farm in the heart of the New Forest.

We fish from Mudeford, mainly line fishing for Bass, Bream, and Mackerel. All sizeable fish landed are humanely dispatched and immediately iced to maintain freshness and quality. We fish in the early mornings, so our fish is generally with Colin by lunchtime.

The Marine Management Organisation acknowledges that line fishing, our method is the most environmentally sustainable and low-impact approach for harvesting pelagic fish. All undersized and unwanted captures are respectfully released unharmed and possibly a little wiser.

Pothecary Gin

Christchurch

Pothecary Gin was created with a passion for organic, handcrafted, artisan produce. After many months of research, and tasting, Martin Jennings elected to use the less common process of distilling each botanical separately and then blending them together before dilution, which yields incomparable, high-quality aromas and flavours, creating an exciting gin that’s both well-balanced and refreshingly individual.

Meadowbrook Produce

Sway, The New Forest

Meadowbrook Produce specialises in sourcing, growing and maturing produce for local New Forest and Dorset chefs.

The home of Meadowbrook Produce is in the New Forest village of Sway a delightful smallholding producing, eggs, lamb, pork and occasionally beef.

Meadowbrook also has a preparation, cutting and maturing facility situated in Christchurch where locally sourced products are bought, prepared and with the beef matured before cutting for our clients, predominately the top local chefs.

What ingredients cannot be sourced locally is supplemented by a weekly visit to the London markets and traditional Smithfield butchers and traders.

Drop the Anchor

Hinton, Hampshire

Our Goals at Drop the Anchor Brewery will be to build a reputation for handcrafted care, time-honoured methodology, and the finest natural ingredients from around the world, as well as housing a friendly tap house/ Brew bar.

Drop the Anchor Brewery handcrafts its beers in small cask batches under close personal attention. The latest brewing equipment and technologies are seamlessly combined with traditional brewing methods to ensure consistently excellent taste.

Pete Dadds

Mudeford Boat SU21

Pete is a commercial fisherman, operating within Mudeford Harbour. His focus is on using static gear, which includes lobster pots, cuttlefish traps, and various types of nets for catching flat fish and round fish. Additionally, he occasionally employs rod and line fishing techniques.

Pete's fishing practices are entirely inshore, emphasising sustainability and maintaining a low carbon footprint.

Our orchard is teeming with wildlife, as the way it should be in order to produce good quality sustainable cider. We have a number of bee hives which contain our most valued workers to help pollinate our trees and do our bit for conservation.  

We strive to keep our business family-run to keep us as committed as possible to producing the best quality cider. The cider-making and sales are run by Dickie & his daughter Emma; both passionate about squeezing as much juice as possible into the cider and keeping it all about the apples.

We are a family-owned business established in 1974, situated in Bournemouth, but we also deliver. Our extensive offering includes a wide variety of fresh and frozen fish, such as Haddock, Smoked Salmon, Plaice, and Trout, to mention a few.

Additionally, we offer a delightful assortment of seafood options designed to suit everybody. Our exquisite oysters are sourced daily from the waters of Poole. We take pride in delivering a dependable, welcoming, and expert service to our valued customers.
